Erin Milbeck Wilcox

Museum Programming & Evaluation

Welcome!

My name is Erin Milbeck Wilcox and I am passionate about connecting individuals to art, history and culture through objects and museum experiences.  I believe informal, self-motivated learning is deeply ingrained in human nature, and that we can learn about the world and ourselves through museums.

I graduated in June 2010 from the Museology Masters Program at the University of Washington, Seattle.  My studies focused on public programming, education, visitor research and evaluation.  My masters thesis is entitled “Trivial Pursuits?: A Summative Evaluation of Trivia Night Public Programs.”

I am currently working as an Education Specialist at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Mi.  I also work with the Detroit Institute of Arts on evaluation projects.
